Job description:


The primary task of accountants, which extends to all the others, is to support accurate preparation and examination financial records. Accountants perform overviews of the financial operations of a business to help it run efficiently.




  1. Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  2. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  3. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  4. Make best-practices recommendations to management
  5. Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues and improve profits
  6. Provide auditing services for businesses and individuals
  7. Job Costings – Reconcile Hours worked – calculate efficiencies against paid hours
  8. Corporate Credit Card management – Summarize Charges for Field personnel, prepare GL entry based on expenses, follow up with users to obtain missing receipts, report on missing items.
  9. Work-In-Process – reconcile G/L to Epicor system, manage un-booked costs for completed jobs, close jobs after all cost posted.
  10. Manage Petty Cash for site
  11. Report to leadership on Cycle Count inventory progress and manage program
  12. Support purchase to pay cycle and suggest opportunities for improvement
  13. Support Payroll Site Management
  14. Calculate allocation for Utilities to tenants.
  15. Manage Standard Costs for Mobile Equipment and evaluate Purchase Price Variances (PPV)




  1. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  2. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  3. Awareness of business trends
  4. Familiarity with financial accounting statements
  5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  6. Hands-on experience with accounting software
  7. Advanced MS Excel skills
  8. Accuracy and attention to detail
  9. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  10. BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
  11. Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
  12. Experience with Epicor is a plus as well as mechanical aptitude.
